The key responsibilities of this position will be developing leads for new and existing relationships with Pharmaceutical clients, including: managing relationships with accounts; responding to client requests; preparation and review of proposal bids for regional Phase IV, NIS, epidemiology studies, and data management services; negotiating budget, contracts, and out of scopes. This role will work in conjunction with business management where you will help to develop proposals, prepare for client presentations and secure sales awards. By collaborating with other business units you will achieve monthly and annual sales targets by formulating plans to capitalize on opportunity identification and new market trends.

The position will be based in Dubai – UAE
Reporting to VP- Business Development

 

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify new opportunities and grow existing business through interaction with key players at targeted major pharma and biotech companies in the MENA region.
  • Generate new business, meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales targets, particularly for regional Phase IV / NIS studies, epidemiology studies, and data management services
  • Provide comprehensive presentations for MENA clients
  • Assist in the development of generic corporate presentations and other marketing tools
  • Maintain the database of new and existing regional clients
  • Provide monthly activity and sales review to management
  • Manage and execute contracts with subcontractors as needed
  • Manage existing relationships to ensure customer satisfaction with current business and secure repeat business

 

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of BD/sales experience in a CRO environment and/or pharmaceutical sales preferable
  • University Degree in life sciences
  • Fluent in English and Arabic
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Ability to work in a team and to interact with other functions and offices
  • Dynamic, proactive self-starter, able to take responsibility for own activities
  • Interest in and ability to learn and to sell the different services offered
